MANILA, Philippines – Erano Manalo, leader of the Philippines’ largest indigenous religious sect, has died, his spokesman said Tuesday. He was 84.

Manalo took over Iglesia ni Cristo, or Church of Christ, after the death of his father and the church’s founder, Felix Manalo, in 1963. The church is believed to have millions of members but does not disclose the figure.

Manalo died of a heart attack in his Manila home on Monday, the church’s spokesman Bienvenido Santiago said.

The church was founded in 1914 when Felix Manalo resigned as minister of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church after questioning the observance of Sabbath on Saturdays. He experienced what he claimed to be a call similar to those of ancient prophets.

Iglesia ni Cristo rejects the Christian doctrine of trinity and believes Christ is one of several prophets.

It is considered the largest indigenous church that originated from the Philippines and the largest independent church in Asia.

Again it got me thinking. “bakit kaya ang daming Big personalities ang namamatay this year?”
i still don’t know why it happens.

First, Francis M.At alam natin na isa siyang magandang ehemplo para sa mga kabataang tulad ko. hindi lamang dahil sa kanyang mga musika kundi dahil na rin sa pagiging makabayan niya. at ang ipinaglalaban din niya ay ang ipinaglalaban nating lahat.

Second, Michael Jackson. although he is not a Filipino, he is still a public figure not only here in the phil but also around the world. kahit na nakulong at nagkakaso siya, we all still know kung anu-ano ang mga naicontribute niya sa buong mundo. not only his music but also his love for everyone.

Third, Presindent Aquino. who brought back our democracy. i don’t have much memory about her. because namulat ako na si Fidel Ramos, Erap at Gloria ang mga pangulo ng bansa. pero i’m not that stupid for not knowing what happenned before i was born. maalala ko si Cory dahil sa EDSA REVOLUTION. i was born FEB.25 at anniversary yun ng EDSA.

People like them, pansin niyo, kung kelan namamatay, tsaka lang natin narealize kung ano ang mga nagawa at naicontribute nila. kung ano ang halaga ng mga ipinaglalaban nila.kung ano ang dapat natin gawin. sana lang eh wula na uling malaking personalidad ang mamatay para lang malaman natin ang halaga ng isang bagay.

inilalabas ko lang kung ano na ang napapansin kong gustong ipaalam sa atin ng Diyos. People fighting for Justice, for freedom, for love, for our countyr we’re all gone. at malaking kawalan iyon hindi lang sa lahat ng mga naiwan nila kundi pati nadin sa buong mundo. lalo na sa kabataang tulad ko. i just hope na in the near future magkaroon na tayo ng magandang pamumuno sa gobyerno at magkaroon na din tayong lahat ng pagkakaisa.

sana lang eh magsimula ang pagababgong iyon sa atin mismo.
